Hey Colleen here! I have to be truthful that I do not like wearing shorts. I would much rather wear cropped pants, dresses, or skirts. I always hated how shorts looked on me. However, now that the weather is warming up and I have been loving how all the shorts out there now look on everyone I figured I would give them a try again. So I have started my hunt for summer shorts!!
My first stop was Old Navy! Below are five different styles I tried and definitely liked very much. All items fit TTS unless otherwise stated. Check out my notes below:
These shorts were a 3″ inseam which I felt were perfect for me, not too short. I loved the denim wash and the distressed look and that the look went all around to the back too. I hate when all the details are on the front and then you turn around and the whole look of the item is different. SUCCESS!!
These shorts were a 5″ inseam. I liked the length on these as well and loved the stretch. The fabrication was really soft too. The print was so adorable and would look great with a tank or tee as well, but I just loved how they looked with this shirt. Great look for cool nights at the beach!
The inseam on these were 3.5″ inseam and loved them. They have what Old Navy calls “slimming pocket technology”. They way these are constructed they are supposed to smooth out your tummy area. Who doesn’t want that?! I also loved the cut off style with the raw edge hem. SUCCESS!!
The pull on linen short style is trending and everyone out there has a version of them. These are sooooo cute and come in a ton of colors. I would definitely by a few myself! The fit is roomy, not clingy at all. This is the perfect casual short!
These shorts are made of a super soft French terry and are the perfect lounge Short. They are a little on the short side, about 2″, so even though I did really like them I would not wear them out and about. They are more for hanging around the house. With that said I do like them.
I have to also give a mention to these shoes!! They are so cute and so comfortable!! A great alternative to flip flops. And that says a lot coming from me!! I love my flips!!
Happy Short Shopping!!!
