During my weekly run to target, I found some exciting stuff for the kids for #targetfindfriday.
First up are some great deals on rain gear. Even though it doesn’t seem like it, the snow will end soon. That means Spring, and the rain it brings, are right around the corner. I’ll be picking up the kiddos new rain jackets and boots so they can make the most of it. Click below to shop:
And before the weather turns and you want to spend all your time outside, finish up any projects to get organized. Pillowfort storage is perfect to organize all the kid’s stuff and it’s on sale! Click here to shop the whole Pillowfort collection. My goal is to finish organizing the kid’s closets and play room and I’m loving these robe detail bins for my girl and grey felt ones for my boy.
In an effort to help make our very busy Mom lives as easy as I can, I just have to introduce you all to an amazing subscription box for our girls. Who doesn’t love a good subscription box!? The fun and suspense of seeing what’s inside! When we found Kidpik, a subscription box for girls sizes 4-16, we just HAD to try it. We have been subscribing to Kidpik now for about 3 years and absolutely love it! It is so much fun for her to open and know that if she loves the items she can keep them and if she does not, well then, they can be returned with no obligation to anything.
First, let’s start with how Kidpik works:
When you go to the Kidpik site you set up an account. You will need to enter things, such as, address, credit card info, when you would like to receive your picks. You can receive them as little as once per year or as often as 1 per month! Then your daughter will get to set up her profile (this is the fun part). She will be able to control telling Kidpik what her favorite colors are, rank how “sparkly” she is, choose from pre-set outfits what she likes the best, and also what stores she likes to shop at. This helps them choose the picks for her boxes that fit her style.
It is very important to note that there is zero obligation to keep anything you receive in your box. There are also no shipping fees to receive or return. You can keep everything, pick and choose what you want to keep , or send it all back!
In an average box you will receive on 7 items, that make about 4-5 outfits. This may include dresses, skirts, pants, tops, shoes, accessories, and always a “Gift for you” that you can keep even if you send everything else back.
The box will arrive looking like this:
It will be addressed to your daughter. It is sooooo exciting for Isabella when she comes home from school and sees this box at our door step!
When she opens the box everything is wrapped up beautifully and some items are in these amazing reusable drawstring bags (which I use when we travel for toiletries or shoes).
Isabella’s box came with a pair of coral Bermuda shorts, 2 tops, 1 skirt, 1 dress. pair of ADORABLE sandals, aviator sunglasses and her “gift” of super cool friendship bracelets (Or hair ties). In the past the “gift” has been patches, pins, or even jewelry.
Her try on session! Needless to say she is keeping everything, again!!
Bella is just a little dramatic…..;)
Now for the details
The price points for this box ranged from $7.50 for the Aviator sunglasses to $27.50 for the Denim Fringe Dress. A very important note is that if you keep everything you get 30% off the total purchase, and this is for every box. So to keep this entire box will be $92.05. We received 7 items so that is $13.15 per item, on average.
Another very important note is that if you do not want to keep all the items but, sometimes, it is less expensive to buy everything and get the 30% off. You can donate the items you do not want to keep by paying for everything, sending back the item you do not want to keep in the pre-paid shipment bag and Kidpik will donate the items to girls in need. in the community around them.
From what I have seen so far in the 2 years we have been receiving boxes is that this company delivers quality clothing at a great value and cares about the community around them.
Oh!! One more very important note is that the actual boxes are great to reuse for abosultly anything. Isabella uses them to store her dolls, shopkins, play school supplies……the options are endless!😁
February is typically baby month in retail baby market. And Walmart is having their Baby Savings Days sale online till 2/28. So if you have a little one, are expecting, or need to find a great gift, you still have time to snag some great deals. There are so many great deals from gear, furniture, feeding products to toys – check them out!
And here are my top items that I loved for both of my kids:
Ok! First of all I hope everyone out there had a great holiday!! I could not have imagined my Daughter’s reaction to the Fuji Instax Mini 9 camera. She actually cried with joy! I have never seen her have that reaction to a gift before and it was so sincere. I knew I had to let you all know about it!
Isabella literally proceeded to capture the entire day in photos. This camera prints mini instant picture just like the old Polaroid cameras from when I was a child. You can find all different “packages” available. The one Santa 😉 choose was the package pictured above with the camera, camera case, photo book, picture frames, different colored lenses, batteries, film and stickers. you can also just get the camera too, here. So cute! It also comes in many colors to choose from and all the accessories are available separately as well.
I would highly recommend this gift for any little girl (or boy) on your life!!
It’s that time of year when all the kids have Holiday/Winter Concerts! Not sure if this has happened to anyone else, but I hate when I “missed” the flyer detailing what the dress code is for the concert and then find it 3 days before the concert……. Yep, that’s what happened here! To make things worse she does not have any of it in her wardrobe that fits……. This concert is calling for 2 outfits, a festive outfit for during the day concert for the other students and a black & white outfit for the evening concert for the parents. Really!! Why two different outfits??
Anyway, Target to the rescue!! When can’t you count on Target?! Their Cat & Jack line for girls is everything! I love that they are so fashion forward and also have an amazing basics area for leggings & tees. They also offer a great selection of socks and underwear.
So, as I said above, they really came through for us to be concert ready this week. See Bella’s outfit choices below.
My experience with Cat & Jack has been nothing less than it is quality clothing at a great value for my kids. Knowing that Target has this brand that I can rely on in a pinch is comforting to a busy mom on the go like myself!
