Busy Saturday over here!! Kids activities, play dates, quick shopping run, and finally catching the latest superhero movie…. hope you all can get out and enjoy this beautiful day!
During my weekly run to target, I found some exciting stuff for the kids for #targetfindfriday.
First up are some great deals on rain gear. Even though it doesn’t seem like it, the snow will end soon. That means Spring, and the rain it brings, are right around the corner. I’ll be picking up the kiddos new rain jackets and boots so they can make the most of it. Click below to shop:
And before the weather turns and you want to spend all your time outside, finish up any projects to get organized. Pillowfort storage is perfect to organize all the kid’s stuff and it’s on sale! Click here to shop the whole Pillowfort collection. My goal is to finish organizing the kid’s closets and play room and I’m loving these robe detail bins for my girl and grey felt ones for my boy.
Have a great weekend!
I have a navy problem.
I’ve been assessing what’s in my closet to see what I have and what I will need when the weather finally warms up. And when I started to look at all the navy tees, sweaters, blouses….I realized I may have a problem!
But I think it’s a good problem because… I LOVE NAVY. It is probably my favorite neutral, except for maybe grey. Or maybe they’re tied. But either way, I love navy because it provides such flexibility in my wardrobe which is so important to me. When you have kiddos to constantly shop for, a mama’s wardrobe budget shrinks very fast. Investing in navy pieces allows my wardrobe to get a lot of use and I think it’s because of two specific reasons:
- Navy literally goes with any color. ANY color. I even have paired it with black.
- Navy can be worn in any season. My favorite pieces in my wardrobe are ones that I can wear at least half the year. Living in the Northeast, you can’t get away with wearing some items all 12 months. But many I can wear at least 3 out of the 4 seasons, which make them worth investing in!
As we get ready to rotate our wardrobes for Spring and Summer, my favorite combo that I consistently go to is navy and white. The pics below feature two new navy tops and two denim bottoms that I recently picked up from J.Crew. All 4 pieces will be perfect for wear now/wear later outfits!
The eyelet sweatshirt will be great to wear sooner than later, but will also transition well to wearing with shorts and skirts. The eyelet knit top can be layered now with a jacket or open weave cardigan and will look great on it’s own in warmer months. And you can’t go wrong pairing white denim skinny jeans or shorts with navy, or any color! Pair the outfits with neutral or metallic sandals, throw on some classic or fun jewelry and you are ready!

I am soooooo ready for spring! How about you?
It may have snowed the last two days, but I am ready for Spring! I channeled warmer weather in my outfit of the day to be out and about doing errands and then to see a basketball game.
Since technically it is still Winter, I couldn’t survive the day without a heavier cover-up on top of the lighter tank and leggings. So I reached for a key item in my closet that gets so many different uses. This chunky stitch cardigan is probably one of the most versatile items to have. I wear with jeans and boots over tees and tanks. But it also looks great as a topper over activewear as I did today. It’s soft and comfortable to go with the rest of the outfit! Sizing is TTS. I bought a small which is a nice loose, oversize fit without being too big.
Welcome to March!! I was so excited last week when I saw that my Tulips are starting to grow!! The first sign of Spring! This makes me want to start planning the flowers I will be planting in my garden and what I will do about decorating my front porch!
Now that winter is coming to an end it is time to get rid of the old door mat that I loved at the beginning of the season but now looks like it has been through some tough times….. and freshen it up with a new one. Target has an adorable selection starting at $12.99. See below the 4 that I need to chose from!

I am also loving how so many of you ladies are layering your door mats over larger rugs. Well, Target does not disappoint on that either and has a great selection of throw rugs to use. See what was able to whip up in the store this past weekend!
I would love to hear which are your favorites!!! Leave a comment to let me know!
