Birthday Dinner #OOTD

38….here I come!

Such a great day celebrating my birthday.

Enjoyed ice cream cake with the kiddos before dinner! (Doesnt everyone do dessert then dinner?!)

Then my husband took me out to eat. We don’t eat out much, especially during the week. But since it was a special occasion, I wanted to dress in some of my favorite pieces.

This jcrew silk wrap top is a tried and true staple in my closet. So flattering and great quality. Fits tts, I am wearing a size 4.

The leopard pumps are a new purchase and I’ve already gotten so much use out of them. Perfect heel height and very comfortable. Fit tts, I am wearing a size 8.

I’m a gap jeans girl. I’ve started to branch out lately, but I always come back to their skinny and jeggings styles. They fit my body type perfectly, maintain their shape, and come in so many washes and styles. These jeggings are my favorite for their fit and classic wash. Fit tts, I am wearing a size 27.

For fun, I wore these tassle earrings that added a little extra fun to the look. My pair are sold out, but I found a great alternative on Amazon for less than $10. Click the link above!

I felt great in all of these favorite items on my special day!

Romper #OOTD

I know I’m late to the romper party. I’ve been nervous to try the trend thinking it would look silly on me, or maybe I wasn’t trendy enough to pull it off.

But I’ve taken the plunge and tried this adorable knot front style from American Eagle.

I know fit is extremely important for the romper trend. When I was contemplating buying this style, I wasn’t sure on sizing. I bought a small and it was tts. I usually wear a size xs or s in tops, and a size 4 or 27 in bottoms. I was worried it would be too short and tight, but I think the fit is great!

I also loved the soft washed fabric. It drapes well but isn’t too clingy. I definitely would suggest a strapless bra. I’m thinking trying it with a cute bandeau because a little would peek through by the knot.

Overall, I’m so pleased with this style. I’m excited to wear it as soon as it’s warm enough! Here I outfitted it with a soft wash boyfriend fit denim shirt and snake print sandals. Happy romper shopping!

Winter Concert #OOTD

It’s that time of year when all the kids have Holiday/Winter Concerts!  Not sure if this has happened to anyone else, but I hate when I “missed” the flyer detailing what the dress code is for the concert and then find it 3 days before the concert…….  Yep, that’s what happened here!  To make things worse she does not have any of it in her wardrobe that fits……. This concert is calling for 2 outfits, a festive outfit for during the day concert for the other students and a black & white outfit for the evening concert for the parents.  Really!!  Why two different outfits??

Anyway, Target to the rescue!!  When can’t you count on Target?! Their Cat & Jack line for girls is everything!  I love that they are so fashion forward and also have an amazing basics area for leggings & tees. They also offer a great selection of socks and underwear.

So, as I said above, they really came through for us to be concert ready this week.  See Bella’s outfit choices below.

Kidpik Subscription Box

Holiday Kidpik Subscription Box

Kids

I love a good subscription box.  Who Doesn’t!?  The fun and suspense of what’s inside!  What will surprise me in a good way!?  We have been subscribing to Kidpik for about 2 years now for my daughter and absolutely love it!  It is so much fun for her to open and know that if she loves the items she can keep them and if she does not, well then, they can be returned with no obligation to anything.

How Kidpik Works:

When you go to the Kidpik site, http://www.kidpik.com, you can set up an account.  You will need to enter things, such as, address, credit card info, when you would like to receive your picks.  Then your daughter will get to set up her profile (this is the fun part).  She will be able to control telling Kidpik what her favorite colors are, rank how “sparkly” she is, choose from pre-set up outfits what she likes the best, and also what stores she likes to shop at.  This helps them choose the picks for her boxes.

It is very important to note that there is zero obligation to keep anything you receive in your box.  There are also no shipping fees to receive or return. You can keep everything, pick and choose what you want to keep , or send it all back!

In an average box you will receive on 7 items, that make about 4-5 outfits.  This may include dresses, skirts, pants, tops, shoes, accessories, and always a “Gift for you” that you can keep even if you send everything else back.

The box will arrive looking like this:

Mobile Image (21)It will be addressed to you daughter.  It is very exciting for Isabella when she comes home from school and sees this box at our door step!

When she opens the box everything is wrapped up beautifully and some items are in these amazing reusable drawstring bags (which I use when we travel for toiletries or shoes).

Isabella’s box came with a pair of black pants, 2 tops, 2 dresses, a pair of ADORABLE booties, hair ties and her “gift” of super cool pins (3 of them).  In the past the “gift” has been patches, pins, bracelets.

Now for the details

The price points for this box ranged from $16.50 for the Rock T-shirt to $32.50 for the booties.  A very important note is that if you keep everything you get 30% off the total purchase, and this is for every box.  So to keep this entire box will be $101.85.  We received 7 items so that is $14.55 per item, on average.

Another very important note is that if you do not want to keep all the items but, sometimes, it is less expensive to buy everything and get the 30% off.  You can donate the items you do not want to keep by paying for everything, sending back the item you do not want to keep in the pre-paid shipment bag and Kidpik will donate the items to girls in need. in the community around them.

From what I have seen so far in the 2 years we have been receiving boxes is that this company delivers quality clothing at a great value and cares about the community around them.

Another important note is that the actual boxes are great to reuse for abosultly anything.  Isabella uses them to store her dolls, shopkins, play school supplies……the options are endless!

Cheers to Kidpik!!
